End of Life Planning: An Employer Issue

End-of-life issues represent a human capital challenge for your organization. Your employees are caregivers for their aging family members, for very ill children, and for suddenly and seriously ill partners. Some have unexpected health crises of their own. Too often, discussions about the end of life occur late, too late or not at all.

Making financial and medical decisions can take a heavy physical and emotional toll. Employers can provide comprehensive resources to assist employees through this difficult time. Employers can also encourage employees to plan early and have conversations with their loved ones about their wishes. Medical, financial, spiritual, and estate decisions are much easier and less anxiety provoking to make when they are done in a caring, supportive manner.

As an employer, you have the opportunity to support and guide your employees through these potentially stressful circumstances. The result can be decreased absenteeism and increased workforce loyalty, morale and productivity.

In this Webinar, we will:

  • Explore why this is an employer issue
  • Acknowledge the challenges in managing for the future and making end-of-life decisions
  • Learn specific tactics adopted by 2 major employers
  • Review program results from a new published study
  • Identify actions employers can take and resources they can use to help employees address this issue sooner rather than later
